15 Quick and Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas

Okay, mommas, there are 14 more visits from our favorite Elf before Christmas and we’ve got this!

If you are anything like me, you are moving the Elf at midnight when you are exhausted and your creativity has vanished. I tried going on Pinterest but those ideas are for the overachieving parents. There is no way in hell I’m covering my kitchen cabinets in wrapping paper at 11 pm. Kudos to the Moms and Dads who have the energy and vision to execute that one!

Here are 15 super simple and quick ideas that can be done with items you already have in the kitchen or playroom.

1. The Rollercoaster: Have your Elf grab a few friends from the playroom for a roller coaster ride inside the dryer.

2. The Milk is Bad: One frightful night the milk captures your Elf, ties him up, and leaves the elf in the refrigerator. Just need milk and a sharpie for this one.

3. What’s Poppin: The Elf is playing with Pop Its and leaves a note saying, “what’s Poppin, don’t mind us we are just watchin”. If you know who Jack Harlow is you get it.

4. Do you want to build a Snowman: Three rolls of toilet paper, a doll, and you’re done.

5. Office Selfie: The Elf jumps on the printer to take a picture.

6. Popcorn Party: The Elf makes popcorn and takes a nap in the bowls making a bit of a mess on the kitchen counter.

7. Minions: The Elf grabs a black Sharpie and draws minion faces on the bananas.

8. Message from Santa: The Elf spells out “Santa Says Hi” using fruit loops on a Christmas plate.

9. Board Game Fun: Grab your Elf and a few friends to play a board game in the playroom.

10.  Underwear on the Fan: The elf steals the kids’ underwear and turns on the fan.

11.  Dog Treats: The Elf mistakenly eats dog treats thinking it is beef jerky and leaves a note that says the snacks are gross.

12. Snow Angels: The Elf makes snow angels using sprinkles, flour, or even marshmallows on a cookie sheet or kitchen counter.

13. Date Night: Elves need to love too, make time for a date night with Ken or Barbie having dinner in the dollhouse, or cruising around in Barbie’s convertible.

14. Toasty: Sometimes your Elf gets chilly and wraps up in two warm pieces of toast.

15.  Toothpaste Fight: Dueling toothbrushes and flying toothpaste is messy but fun.

Grand Finale Idea: Toilet Paper the Christmas Tree ... Dads love this one!
